Watercress line fireman, Darren Davis at the controls of his Great Western Manor, #7801. This steep climb out of the station is the chosen location for our annual shunting competition. With the steep gradients and curves at both the top and bottom of the bank, it tests the drivers to go as slow as possible, but without stalling under load. Working hard on our 2006 Gala event, it's carrying four trolley loads of passengers.
