Miniature Steam Gala Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April
Thanks to everyone who came along for a ride on 17th March, it was good to see you and get back to running on our track after Winter maintenance. The next event is our legendary Miniature Steam Gala, back in its proper place in the calendar this year on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April.
If you haven't been to our Gala before this page gives a full description, but in short it is like our normal running day but with whole field of traction engines and other entertainment added. What's not to like? - I cannot think of anything!
Incredibly, there is no charge for entry or car parking! To help support the costs of running the Gala we hope you will buy a programme (only £1), a Tombola ticket and treat the kids and yourself to a ride or two. Car parking is signposted in the adjacent Jays Close, RG22 4AX, unfortunately parking on site is for exhibitors only.
Members' and Visitors' Running Days 2019
The club has running days where any member of the club can run their railway, traction or stationary engine at our facilities. The aim of the day is to run, enjoy, socialise and show models to other club members. Unfortunately these events are not open to the public due to restrictions on our insurance policy.
Members of other clubs are welcome to attend any member's day throughout the year. Boiler certificates will be required. Please get in contact if you wish to run from another club to let us know to expect you (and to make sure we have enough tea and biscuits).
Members day running is usually from about 10am to 5pm.
